What is Difference Between Will And Would ?

What is the difference between will and would, is the question most students ask frequently. It isn’t hard but yet makes same meaning that’s why few gets confused due to its meaning, however its uses are different.

Because of the meaning, most of the students get confused and can’t digest the fact that how they both makes difference. Everyone wants to know the difference between will and would. So in this particular article you will know the meaning of the both helping verbs and its uses in daily life.

Difference Between Will And Would

The meaning difference between both is their uses. Both are being used in different ways. No one use them in same way.

Lets say, if I have to talk about future. I will look at how it effects the meaning. If I’m talking about probability, I will surely use “Will” but if I have to say same but there are less probabilities, I will definitely use “Would”.

That means, will shows more chances of probabilities while there are very less chances in would.

4: She will marry to Aslam later this year.

Would.

1: Would you like to have a cup of tea ?

2: I would wake up early tomorrow. “Here I’m talking about less probabilities.

3: Would I be there ? “Even I don’t know the probability here.

Can We Use Will and Would in Future

Yes we prefer both in future. We can use both of them in different ways. We usually prefer would in the way that discuss the topic for past in future. Just like if I wanted to visit Karachi in the past referring to the future. You can have a look at these examples.

Use of will

1: I will visit Karachi tomorrow.

2: She will wash clothes.

3: Pakistan will defeat India with heavy margin.

Use of Would

1: He said, I would visit Karachi very soon.

2: I said, I would take tea.

3: She said, she would wash dishes.

What If We Use Will and Would In Same Sentence

Yes we can use both in same sentence with same meaning. Here is look at how !

1: She will come to school today.

2: She would come to school today.

I have used both modals in same  sentence, here to meaning will be same but the concept still will be different.

When I said, She will come to school today, “means there are more probabilities, may  be it is 100%.

But when I said, She would come to school today, means there are very less probabilities. Means there is no guarantee whether she will come or not.

Use of Would in Past

Yes we can use it in past too just the way we use in the future.

1: I would smoke

2: I would marry her.

but isn’t it confusing because it doesn’t show actual meaning in the past so making it look so easy we must use them in different way so it seems in the past.

1: I Would Smoke When I Lived In New York.

2: I Would Marry Her Last Day.

Now it is clearly seem like we are talking about past.
